MLAA EXPO ’24

JMA attended the 43rd annual MLAA trade exhibition in Adelaide, Australia, on 25 and 26 October. As on previous occasions, we shared a stand with SG Lock & Security, one of the leading lock and security distributors in Australia and New Zealand.

Organised by the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia, the MLAA EXPO ‘24 consisted of 46 stands and gathered all the major international brands for locksmithing and opening mechanisms. It is the most important event for the locksmithing sector in Australia and was visited this year by over 1,000 professional locksmiths.

As we do every year, JMA offered numerous demonstrations of our key copying machines, garage remote controls and transponder technology at our stand. The electronic Multicode NXT machines were particularly popular, as were the NOMAD and MOVE mechanical machine families, due to their robust design, ease of use and portability, adapting very well to the mobile locksmithing concept that has spread widely across the continent. The JMA demonstrations of our remote controls were also highly popular, with the M-BT Advance and Biometric remotes attracting a lot of attention.

The conference also included several informative talks and concluded with a gala dinner at which various awards were presented. Alongside SG Lock & Security, JMA sponsored the award to locksmith shop of the year. The award recognised four different categories that each adapt to the specific nature of the Australian market: Best Large Shop format over 400 m2; Best Small Shop format under 400 m2; Best Van; and Best Ute.

The success of our opening solutions in the Australian market has been confirmed once again, reaffirming our commitment in the sector to offer innovative high-quality solutions that suit its specific needs and meet the requirements of its customers.
