To develop a new generation of automatic key duplication systems

JMA has launched Project “SPLASH”, which seeks to develop a new generation of automatic key duplication systems based on Artificial Vision and Intelligence technologies that are supported by Cloud Service Computer Infrastructures to enable house and vehicle keys to be cut remotely and automatically, and their corresponding microelectronic transponders to be cloned at businesses all over the world.

Project “SPLASH” consists of two separate sub-projects:

•    Sub-project “SPLASH Remote Duplication” seeks to develop a new generation of automatic key duplication systems for use in new international sectors and markets based on Artificial Vision and Intelligence technologies that are supported by Cloud Service Computer Infrastructures to enable keys to be automatically cut, controlled and monitored remotely.

•    Sub-project “SPLASH Transponders” seeks product and service innovation in international markets, especially the United States, through the design and development of new automatic vehicle key copying and microelectronic transponder cloning functionalities.

The “SPLASH” system is intended for roll-out via a new generation of automatic copying “kiosks” connected and controlled via the Internet of Things (IoT), supported by Artificial Vision and Intelligence technologies, and connected to Cloud Service Computer Infrastructures that enable keys to be cut remotely and automatically, and next-gen electronic security systems (microelectronic transponders) to be cloned.

Through Project “SPLASH”, JMA intends to expand its technological capability in the field of electronic devices used to recognise and clone the electronic security systems (transponders) built into vehicle keys and make it ubiquitous so as to offer remote transponder cloning services based on Cloud Infrastructures for all major players in the production of next-gen transponders.

Finally, the “SPLASH” system will enable JMA to expand its commercialisation capacity into B2B and B2C e-commerce channels.

Project “SPLASH” has been funded by the Secretariat-General for Industry and Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY, TRADE AND TOURISM under the call for R&D+i project funding applications within the scope of Connected Industry 4.0 (ACTIVA Funding, Large Projects), financed by the European Union via the “Next Generation EU” funds forming part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan in 2023.
